My boss mentioned to me a little while ago that his power company started listing an option for “renewable energy” on his electric bill. This basically means that if he selects that option, the power company is obligated to get the amount of power he uses from renewable energy sources like wind power. Sadly I checked my local electricity provider (Dominion VA) and they don’t have something similar. But I did find this site which explains how to switch your electricity provider to one of these green energy providing places. So I’m looking into it.
