One of my friends had a birthday party for her 1 year old about a week ago. It was outside at Lake Accotink Park here in Springfield, VA. We live about 10 minutes away and I was shocked to find out that this park existed right under our noses. It is quite a nice place, there is a big lake, with a damn/waterfall where you can rent boats and canoes. There is also and old school mary-go-round with a little mini-golf course around it. It was a really nice place to come and hang out on a weekend.
